A Book Birthday and Thanks!

Hey gang! Want to say a quick thanks to all of you who commented on my blog hop post on Monday--I won!

**QUICK CORRECTION/UPDATE** Actually, each judge picked their favorite, and I was chosen by 2 of the 4 judges. Awesome, right?

How crazy is that? Unleash a couple of snarky friends on a dating quiz and look what happens. :-D

There's an anonymous 'reader vote' round (this round was voted on by the judges) on Friday I'd love to have your help with (I'll share details then...). My winnings this round are copies of Jaycee and author Magan Vernon's (the other judge that picked my entry) books, so I'll be sure to let everyone know how they are once I've given them a read.

Now,  MORE good news ...

About the Author:

Juliana is a Brazilian girl living in Connecticut. She would love to be Wonder Woman, Cheetara, Elektra, Buffy, Phoebe, She-ra, Rose, Korra, Cornelia, a blood elf shadow priest, and other various kick-ass female from books, comics, TV series, movies, and games, but she settles for—the less exciting but equally gratifying life—a wife, mother, friend and a writer. Her heroines are like the ones cited above and she also writes about the heroes who drive them crazy—and occasionally hot.

Since her first stories, she wrote about 20-something year old protagonists, and today she's part of NA Alley, a blog dedicated to New Adult.

CONGRATS JH! Sounds like a fabulous read.

  1. Congrats on your win! :D

Very much looking forward to reading Juliana's book!

  2. Yeah I saw your double win. Congrats. I won too and so happy with myself. Never expected it.

  3. Congratulations!! Sorry if I missed it Monday - I was a little overwhelmed.
    Featured Juliana today as well.

  4. How cool to publish a book on 12/12/12. Congrats. :)

  5. Good job, E.J. ! And congrats to Juliana. Sounds steamy. :)

Also, don't know if it's just me and my screen, but you've got a new social media sharing widget on the left of your screen that, for me at least, is partially blocking the text of your post. Just thought I'd mention it, since it makes it hard to read.

    1. Hey LG! I think you just need to stretch your browser window (emphasis on 'think'). Mine shows fine most of the time, but if I make the entire window smaller (which I sometimes do to be able to fit more 'things' on the screen at once) it can cause the little bar cover up the text. It is fixed to the left window border, and automatically adjusts to be on the outside of the text window when the minimal width to view the entire blog is achieved. i.e. Just click and hold the right border of the window and drag until it's where you want it.

Sincerely appreciate you pointing it by the way. Drives me crazy when there's something wonky with a blog and no one says anything. We don't TRY to run crappy websites, you know? ;-D Anyway, I'm going to ask if it's a general problem at some point soon, and if it continues I'll make some changes.

  6. I I like her cover, too...it pops...very clear. And her photo is pretty!

  7. Beautiful cover! And congratulations!

  8. Congrats to you and happy book birthday to Juliana!

  9. Congratulations to both of you!

Juliana's book sounds good! Terrific cover!

  10. Congrats to you! Also, Juliana's book looks and sounds fantastic! Thanks for sharing.

    1. Oh- my favorite Christmas movie is Christmas Vacation!

  11. Congrats, Juliana! I love the sound of your new release. It also has a beautiful cover. :)

  12. Great review. I love the cover and the title. Sounds like a good read.
