Over At The NA Alley Blog Today!

Hey, gang! Just wanted to let y'all know I blogged over at the NA Alley Blog today, and I'd love for you to stop by and say, "hey".  :)

Basically, I've heard a lot of talk recently that maybe New Adult literature has peaked as a 'niche genre'. That perhaps it IS just sexy romance. This was my rebuttal.

Also, thank you to everyone who left comments on my Indie Life post. That was one of those posts I considered not posting, because I wondered if it was perhaps too personal.

Not personal in a TMI kind of way, but personal as in, "Only you feel this way, EJ." As usual, your encouragement and insight proved me wrong. :)

Hope you're week gets off to a fantastic start! (The movers are coming to pack up our stuff on Wednesday and I'm freaking out a little. lol)

  1. Moving is a freak out sort of thing so can't blame you there. Going to go check out your rebuttal :-)

  2. This reminds me of the late '80s-early '90s, when the genre "women's fiction" was created.

  3. I'll stop by and read your rebuttal. NA peaked? I think it's just gained its footing. I bet you agree.

  4. As an author, EJ, you should never be afraid to speak your mind. There's a chance that people might disagree with you, but you do a huge disservice to yourself by not expressing what you need to express, especially since you always do so in a respectful manner towards opposing viewpoints.

  6. I'll pop on over. Rebuttals on sexay NA? Seems to be it just got started, and I don't think all NA is about the sexay. But I'd not be surprised if I'm wrong.

  8. Even the mention of movers freaks me out because it's only been a month since I got my mom moved into assisted living. We were so lucky though. They did a great job, even though it was pouring rain when they unloaded Mom's furniture, and the cost actually came in below the original estimate. How often does that happen?
